Founded in 2022 on 100 acres in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario — Pamoja Farms is a regenerative agriculture social enterprise built to strengthen food sovereignty, serve communities, and demonstrate that organic farming can change the world.
Pamoja Farms is a 100-acre regenerative agriculture and social enterprise dedicated to strengthening food sovereignty, food security, and resilient local food systems in Canada.
Our mission is to provide Canadians with high-quality, locally grown organic food while developing innovative agricultural solutions that make year-round food production possible in northern climates.
"Transparency is central to everything we do. When you see the Pamoja Farms logo, you can trust that the food has been grown using our strict organic and sustainable standards."
We combine traditional farming knowledge with modern agricultural technologies — including vertical farming, mechanized cultivation, controlled-environment agriculture, and ground-heating systems — all while maintaining our commitment to 100% organic and sustainable practices.
In Swahili, Pamoja means "Together." This single word defines everything we do — how we farm, how we build community, and how we envision a more equitable food system for Canada and the world.
Every seed we plant, every box we deliver, and every decision we make is guided by these principles.
No pesticides. No synthetic chemicals. No exceptions. Every crop grown at Pamoja Farms is 100% certified organic — from seed to your table.
We farm in harmony with nature, using regenerative techniques that rebuild soil health, promote biodiversity, and ensure the land grows stronger every season.
Pamoja Farms is a community-driven enterprise. We believe in shared ownership — creating a model where communities actively invest in and benefit from local food production.
We address food insecurity head-on — building local supply chains, reducing dependence on imports, and ensuring fresh organic food is accessible to every community.
We grow culturally appropriate foods for Canada's diverse diaspora communities — people who have historically lacked access to the ingredients central to their heritage.
Pamoja Farms is being built as a replicable model. Our long-term goal is to scale this concept across Canada and internationally.

Pamoja Farms was founded in 2022 with a simple but powerful mission: to create a community-driven organic farm in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario that could serve as a model for food sovereignty and regenerative agriculture across Canada.
The first seasons were about learning the land, establishing organic growing protocols, and building the farm's infrastructure. The team began cultivating the first organic crops and developing the community relationships that define Pamoja Farms.
Pamoja launched its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Harvest Box program, bringing fresh organic produce directly to families across the region.
Integrating vertical farming, controlled-environment agriculture, and mechanised cultivation, Pamoja Farms is expanding its capacity for year-round production.
Pamoja Farms is being developed as a replicable model for sustainable community agriculture — with plans to expand across Canadian provinces and eventually to other countries.
Our land has never had pesticides or synthetic fertilizers applied to it — ever. A founding commitment that makes Pamoja Farms one of the most genuinely clean organic farms in Canada.
Unlike corporate farms, Pamoja Farms is structured as a social enterprise with shared ownership. Community members can invest, participate, and share in the farm's success.
We're pioneering the cultivation of culturally appropriate foods in Canada's climate — serving Black, African, Caribbean, and other diaspora communities.
Vertical farming, controlled-environment growing, mechanised cultivation, and ground-heating systems allow us to produce more food, year-round.
From seed to delivery, we control every step of the food production process — ensuring transparency, quality, and fair pricing.
Everything we build is designed to be scalable and replicated in other provinces and countries.
No pesticides or chemicals have ever been used on the land at Pamoja Farms.
1 in 6 children in Canada lives in a food-insecure household.
